Our application to a CFI-Jelf has been funded. This will allow to equip the SSBM lab properly and do amazing research!
Constance Dollet is our new research assistant. She came from Dr. Erika Sasaki's lab and has a strong expertise on marmoset research. She will help us with the ITN/TRIDENT project but also continue ongoing research on marmoset vocalization. Welcome Constance!
Hildelith Leyser joined the SSBM lab in September 2023 to conduct her PhD research. She is interested in embodiement and multisensory process. Welcome Hildie!
Our application for the ICM-The Neuro joint collaborative proposal has been selected and awarded, we are pleased to start this collaboration with Dr. Julia Sliwa from the Paris Brain Institute to perform cross-species comparison between marmoset and macaques social cognition.

We are pleased to announce that the SSBM lab has been awarded a NSERC Discovery Grant for supporting our research in multisensory integration.
It is already one year that the SSBM lab started. I am proud of our trainees and what we have already done in one year. I am looking for more things to accomplish!
Today, the SSBM lab is please to welcome Jiayue Yang, an undergraduate student, who is completing an undergraduate research course using machine learning (DeepLabCut) to detect and analyze marmoset behaviors. She will then start her master project in Fall 2023, working on developing Parkinson’s Disease biomarkers using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
Welcome to the team Jiayue! Today, the SSMB lab is pleased to welcome Tyler Cook, a new and first master student of the lab.
Tyler is interested in how sensory information is encoded in the brain, what can hinder or improve sensory encoding, and how these changes might be initiated. He also has an interest in the roles of neural immunology and neuropharmacology on brain development and their ultimate cognitive effects. Let's start this new adventure! |
